Green stylized Kanji character of Gi of Gifu 岐 in green circle on white field.
The emblem expresses peace and harmony. Green stands for beautiful nature of
Gifu. Adopted 10 August 1932.

The prefecture emblem was adopted on Aug 10th 1932 by Notice No 424 but there
is no flag law.

Gifu Prefecture symbol mark was adopted on Nov 22nd 1991 by Notice No 695.
The symbol mark is stylized G in yellow,green,blue,red and white five color with
English name in black which represents an image of the prefecture which grows
strongly dots to line and lines to face.
