The city emblem was adopted on Nov 10th 1961 by Notice No 25 but there is no
flag law. The light blue flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city
emblem is a stylized hiragana か Ka of MinoKamo. The center diagonal curved line
represents a strong stream of Japan Rhine. Minokamo is a starting point of Japan
Rhine = the beautiful valley of the Kiso River.
