The city emblem was adopted on Nov 25th 1964 by Notice No 68 but there is no
flag law. The purple flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city emblem
is a stylized kanji 羽 Ha of Hashima
and a family crest of Takehana castle owner. It represents a peaceful city
administration.
