On 1 January 2008 the former 19 districts of Aigle, Aubonne, Avenches, Cossonay, Echallens, Grandson, Lausanne, La Vallée, Lavaux, Morges, Moudon, Nyon, Orbe, Oron, Payerne, Pays-d'Enhaut, Rolle, Vevey, Yverdon (Clickable map of all former Vaud districts) were reorganized to the 10 districts of Aigle, Broye-Vully, Gros-de-Vaud, Jura-Nord vaudois, Lausanne, Lavaux-Oron, Morges, Nyon, Ouest lausannois, Riviera-Pays-d'Enhaut (see below). The district of Aigle is the only district which remains unchanged.
