Per fess, the Chief Or, Semi Lion rampant issuant Gules; and the base
per pale Gules, a Bend Or, cotised Argent and Argent, two Bends wavy Gules.
Željko Heimer, 7 January 2003
Since 1. January 2003 the commune of Maracon includes the former commune of La Rogivue.
The new arms and flag have been adopted already in December 2001. The new design takes over the elements
of both former flags. The semi-lion rampant of Maracon has kept its size and place but the bend has been
reduced to the lower left quarter to leave place for the two bends wavy of La Rogivue in the lower right
quarter.

Per fess Or issuant a semi-lion rampant Gules then Gules, a bend Or with cotises Argent.
Christopher Southworth
The lower fess could be blazoned "Gules, a Bend Or, cotised argent". It makes sense, though
my impression is that cotises are much narrower than shown in the Maracon banner.
