The coat of arms of Huimilpan was adopted by Act No. 9 in an Ordinary Session of the Council on 2 April 1989; according to Point No. 6 (a document sent verifies this). The coat of arms is divided into three sections and has a pink (sometimes red) border. The upper-left section depicts a cross and sun over a lake and grassland by the mountains; these symbolize it as belonging to the state and its geography. The upper-right section depicts clouds over a ploughed field with three stalks of corn over it for agriculture, signifyin it as a great producer of it in the state; in the background is a hill, indicating the Mountain Range of Querétaro. The lower section depicts the San Miguel Arcángel church for fraternity, with a ribbon over it reading "Julio 10 1529", with the figure of Nicolás de San Luis Montañez holding a sword found to the left; he was one of the founders of Humilpan that day. To the right, a sword is also seen for the conquest of the area.
