Utsunomiya city in Tochigi adopted its flag on April 1st 1972.
proportion: 5:7
field: purplish red (Mansel 2.5R/2/6)
emblem: white
size of emblem is 3/5 of width
Stylized kanji Miya (宮) of Utsunomiya in hexagonal pattern which
represents development and glory.
