It is a red over white horizontal bicolour.
It is understood that red and white are the city's traditional colours.

Flag, banner were approved by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Münster on 26 March 1976 but used even earlier.

Introduction:
On 1 April 1899 a part of the municipality of Ennigerloh was outsourced as a new municipality called Neubeckum. Neubeckum was the area around Beckum station of Köln-Minden Railway Company.
The municipality was incorporated into the city of Beckum in 1975.
It was a white over red horizontal bicolour. The colours are those of the city of Beckum inverted.
