Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent a facetted cross patty Sable, at sinister Gules three lilies Argent with stems issuant from the peaks of a triplemount issuant Vert.
Meaning:
The oldest local seals (1283 and 1360) displayed St. Boniface, the patron saint of the Fulda Imperial Abbey, sitting on a throne. On a seal from the 15th century the saint is accompanied by an inescutcheon, displaying a castle with three towers and the cross from the arms of the abbey. Around 1500 the current pattern of arms developed, combining the cross with the lilies as attributes of St. Simplicius. The current tinctures were fixed in 1955.

The banner was introduced in 1958. The arms were approved on 8 July 1955 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
