It is a green-white-green vertical triband with ratio of stripes 1:2:1. The coat of arms is shifted to the top in the white stripe.

Shield parted per fess, above Vert hammer and mallet Argent in saltire, superimposing a lumberman's axe of the same in pale, beneath Argent three firs Vert in fess on a base of the same.
Meaning:
The firs are taken from an old municipal seal of Dietharz. The axe is symbolising forestry and wood processing, hammer and mallet are symbolising quarries.
