Description of flag:
The ratio is 3:5. It is a red over white horizontal bicolour. The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.
Source: I spotted this flag on 17 December 2012 in the town hall of Schneverdingen.

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess. Above is a red fess in a silver (= white) field. Below is a silver (= white) heraldic rose seeded golden (= yellow) in a red field.
Meaning:
The coat of arms is based upon the arms of the Lords of Schneverdingen (Schneverding family), who died out in the 17th century. The arms have been conveyed by a tomb in St.John's church in Lüneburg and an old seal. The family in 1439 made a donation to its place of origin.
Sources: Stadler 1970, p.71 and § 2(2) of Hauptsatzung of the City of Schneverdingen, version 3 November 2011
The coat of arms was approved by Oberpräsident of Prussian province of Hannover in 1937.
