It is a white-blue vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is in a white bannerhead with (see left image above) or without (see right image above) a black inscription "Dietenhofen" on top.

Shield Argent, on a hill Vert a herdsman, dressed Azure with boots and bag Or and hat Sable, blowing a horn Or.
Meaning:
Dietenhofen belonged to Heilsbronn Abbey and was acquired by the Zollern kin in the 16th century. The current arms first appeared in the last years of the 17th century on a common seal of the districts Dietenhofen and Bonnhof. It was considered to be canting (Franconian: düten (= blowing a horn). There is a legend that the erratic Empress Kunigunde found her way by hearing the horn of a sentinel.
