Shield Azure, three heraldic roses Or ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
The pattern first appeared on a seal of Görig of Kochen, from 1404, who owned estates in the town. The Kochens had been vassals of the Counts of Helfenstein, who had acquired half of the village in 1240. Since 1927 the municipality had arms as follows: shield Argent, an eradicated natural beech, flanked by plough shares Azure, chief Or charged with an attire. The current arms were approved on occasion of the upgrade from a market town to a city on 1 June 1968. The tinctures of the restored arms were chosen arbitrarily.
