Algarrobo is a city in San Antonio Province, Valparaíso Region (Region V). As a city along Chile's central coast with a population of about 8,600 in 2002, Algarrobo is a popular resort destination for the people of Santiago. [1]

The Algarrobo Yacht Club (Club de Yates de Algarrobo, CYA) has a traditional 3:5 burgee that can be seen in photos on the club's Facebook page [2] and in the club's logo, also visible on the Facebook page (https://scontent.fric1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/10488160_513427345425790_8602927652573600478_n.jpg?_nc_cat=109&_nc_ohc=vGS8g9UnR9kAX-8ZnQ-&_nc_ht=scontent.fric1-2.fna&oh=049934d42590c0476fe4b9059c0a77c5&oe=5EDA9E1F). One example photo on the Facebook page (https://scontent.fric1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/23844634_1224169657684885_8731470532851260089_n.jpg?_nc_cat=109&_nc_ohc=geHF7KVio-8AX9dsDLX&_nc_ht=scontent.fric1-2.fna&oh=a9eff57acdaa2b59406467ef77b2896b&oe=5ED75F9B) shows the burgee flying from a mast alongside the Chilean national flag. The burgee is white with two symmetrical triangles at the hoist, pointing toward the fly, with the top triangle blue and the bottom triangle red. The blue triangle contains the capital letters "CYA" in a white sans serif font, representing the name of the club.

CYF is a member of the Southern Zone Association (Asociación Zonal Sur). It is located in Bahia de Frutillar, Lago Llanquihue, Region X (Los Lagos). Frutillar is a city located on the western shore of Lake Llannquihue, itself located north of the regional capital city Puerto Montt. Since December 1996, CYF is administrated by Cofrodia Nautica de Frutillar S.A. The burgee of CYF is a 3:4 pennant, blue with a yellow cross and four white apparently four-pointed stars in canton.

Club de Yates de Quintero

CYQ is a member of the Central Zone Association (Asociación Zonal Centro). Quintero is a port city located in Region V (Valparaiso, ex-Acongua), north of the regional capital city Valparaiso. The burgee of CYQ might be horizontally divided blue over red with a white star in the middle. My source shows a rectangular flag with afaceted greyish star. This would be another declension of the national flag.

Club de Yates de Talcahuano

CYT is a member of the Southern Zone Association (Asociación Zonal Sur). It was founded in 1946 in Talcahuano, Region VIII (Bío Bío). Talcahuano is a port of c. 200,000 inhabitants, located close to the regional capital city Concepcion. The burgee of CYT has a white field with a red border and a white star inside a blue disc near the hoist. This is another declension of the national flag.

Club de Yates de Valdivia

CYV is a member of the Southern Zone Association (Asociación Zonal Sur). It is the oldest yacht club in Chile. Valdivia, a port city of c. 100,000 inhabitants, named after the Conquistador Pedro de Valdivia (1497-1553), is located in Region X (Los Lagos). The burgee of CYV is a traditional 3:5 pennant. Its field is white with a blue border all around and a red triangle touching the three edges of the white field.
