The municipality of Cajuru (23,378 inhabitants in 2010; 66,069 ha) is located 300 km of São Paulo.

The symbols of Cajuru are prescribed in Article 1.2 of the Municipal Constitution as "the flag, the coat of arms and the anthem, representative of its culture and history".
