The Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality is located in the Gert Sibande District in Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. The municipal headquarters are located in Carolina.
The municipality is named after Chief Albert John Luthuli who was an
anti-apartheid activist and President of the African
National Congress between 1952 and 1957. He was awarded the Nobel
Peace Prize in 1960 for his role in the non-violent struggle against apartheid
and was the first person of African heritage to receive the award.

municipal emblem in the centre. The name of the municipality is green
capital letters above and below the emblem.
