Yacht Club de Punta del Este was founded on 14 February 1924 by Niceto Loizaga and Juan Gorlero. Punta del Este, a posh sea resort and marina of c. 10,000 inhabitants located east of Montevideo. Punta del Este is a staging point in several off-shore yachting races.
The burgee of the yacht-club is horizontally divided blue-white-blue with a diagonal red stripe (see Artigas' Flag for reference ) with a black anchor on the red stripe. Due to the small and dark image used as a source, I am not sure of the details of the anchor.
