A photo of the flag of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut is posted
at Flickr.
The flag is white, bordered light blue, and bearing the diocese's arms. Those arms are azure, a St. Andrew's Cross argent; two swords crossed saltirewise, proper; an inescutcheon sable, bearing a crozier and key, crossed saltirewise, or; a chief or, bearing three grapevines; and a bishop's mitre as crest.
The Diocese, which was organized in 1785, was the first Anglican diocese located outside the British Isles. It is
coterminus with the State of Connecticut. Additional info can be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Episcopal_Diocese_of_Connecticut and www.ctdiocese.org/Default.asp.
In that same Flickr collection can also be seen the flag of Saint Thomas Episcopal Church of Bethel, Connecticut
(www.flickr.com/photos/gcdougherty/3593047501/sizes/o/in/set-72157618742996189). The church's flag is red, with golden lance and tee-square, those being symbols associated with the apostle Thomas. Both of these flags shown with gold fringes.
