De Pere is a city in Brown County, Wisconsin and is a suburb of the city of Green Bay. The city traces its roots to the 1671 founding by French explorer Claude-Jean Allouez, who founded the St. Francis Xavier Mission at the last set of rapids on the Fox River before entering Lake Michigan.
