The Curry County flag was adopted as official on 15 September 1992, according to the Clovis News Journal of the following day. It was chosen out of two proposals made to the county government by Clovis artist Patsy Delk, being first hoisted on 27 January the following year (according to the issue of 19 February 1993).
I read in the Los Alamos county newspaper that the flags were first hoisted
in 1992. It appears that was the originally intended year, as reflected in
multiple newspapers, but it was actually in 1993 that they were hoisted!
