by Valentin Poposki, 26 September 2025Ulaganskiy County in Altay Republic, has a new flag. The Council of County Deputies adopted new coat of arms and flag on 12.03.2020.
A rectangular cloth with a width to length ratio of 2:3, on the blue are
reproduced the figures of the coat of arms: a white running horse, accompanied
from below by a white three-headed pointed mountain (with the middle peak of the
mountain being higher than the others), with a red base broken in the middle,
above which the mountain is burdened with two abstract shortened thread-like
light blue jagged belts located one under the other (with the belt located at
the top being shorter); and from above the horse is accompanied by a yellow sun
(without a face) with straight expanding rays, three of which are short and
located at the top, and to the right and left of the disk of the sun, two long
rays extend indirectly downwards in each direction.

In an azure field with a golden border, burdened with thirteen green six-pointed
stars, there is a silver running horse, accompanied from below by a silver
three-headed pointed mountain (with the middle peak of the mountain being higher
than the others), with a red base broken in the middle, above which the mountain
is burdened with two abstract shortened thread-like azure chipped belts located
one under the other (with the belt located at the top being shorter); and from
above the horse is accompanied by a golden sun (without a face) with straight
expanding rays inscribed in the border of the shield, three of which are short
and located at the top, and to the right and left of the disk of the sun, two
long rays extend indirectly downwards in each direction.

Ulaganskiy Rayon has coat of arms and flag, both adopted in 2019 (unconfirmed
date). There is also attached a previous version of the rayon coat of arms.

The rayon has 7 Rural Settlements: Aktashskoe, Balyktuyul'skoe, Saratanskoe,
Ulaganskoe, Chelushmanskoe, Chibilinskoe, and Chibitskoe rural settlement. None
of them have any kind of official symbols, as far as I know.
