The building of the João de Freitas Martins travel agency in
Funchal (Madeira)
flies the houseflag of the company (I imagine that a travel
agency in Madeira cannot be anything but a shipping company). The flag
is also painted on the agency entrance door. The building is located on
the Avenida do Mar e das Comunidades Madeirenses.

The concept of a travel agency varies from place to place, but here
they tend to work more as booking agencies, reserving tickets here and
there, usually within a group of associated companies, than as agencies
that actually promote travelling with their own means. This in general,
of course… I know nothing of the João de Freitas Martins
company.
