Ponte de Vagos Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Vagos Municipality (q.v.); it had 1790 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 6.2 km².

Shield Or, in base an oak eradicated Sable leaved Vert, in chief a bladed wheel Purpure between a grapevine Purpure leaved Vert at dexter and a corn cob Or leaved Vert at sinister. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "SANTA CATARINA - VAGOS".
Meaning:
The wheel is an attribute of St. Catherine, local patron saint and name giver.
