It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of purple and white.

Shield Vert, a cross-topped belfry Argent with bell Or, flanked by two bunches of grapes Purpure leafed Or in chief and two wheat ears Or with their stems crossed per saltire tied Gules in base. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black upper case letters "TURCIFAL"
