Shield Or three pines eradicated Vert fructed Or set in fess, in chief on a mandorla Gules a Paschal Lamb Argent couchant holding a staff cruciger Or flagged with a cross Gules on Argent, on base wavy Azure a barrulet wavy Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "PINHO - S. PEDRO DO SUL".
Meaning:
The Portuguese word "pinho" means "pine" in both acceptions â€” both the tree (although its pleonastic derivative "pinheiro", akin to English "pine tree", is more common) and also its timber; the arms are therefore partly canting. The Paschal Lamb is an attribute of St. John the Baptist.
