The arms are Or a local barn Gules, in chief a sundial Sable, in base a triplemount Vert over a base wavy of Argent and Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading "CANEDO - RIBEIRA DE PENA" in black upper case letters.

Canedo Commune is one of the five communes of Ribeira de Pena Municipality (q.v.); it had 3313 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 33,47 km².
