It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

Shield Argent, an Egyptian cross Azure between two bunches of cherries Gules leaved Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "RIBAFRIA - ALENQUER".
Meaning:
The cross is referring to Our Lady of Egypt, the local patron saint. Cherries are the most important agricultural product of the commune.

Ribafria Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Alenquer Municipality (q.v.); it had 970 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 9.1 km².

Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "PEREIRO DE PALHACANA"
Meaning:
Cherries and vine are the most important agricultural products of the commune. The wheel is representing the heritage of windmills in the Estremadura. Some of them have survived in the commune.
