The blazon: På gull bunn et rødt vasshjul. In English: Or a mill-wheel gules.
It was approved by the crownprince-regent's resolution of 26 July 1957, after a
drawing by Carsten Lien.
The traditional industry in Lorenskog are sawmills that operated on water
wheels.
