Born in Todo Village, Omi Province. He fought in the Battle of Anegawa under the Asai clan and later served under Hideyoshi.
After many battles, he became the lord of Uwajima Castle with 70,000 goku. In the Battle of Sekigahara he fought on the Tokugawa side and was given 200,000 goku of Imabari Castle in Iyo Province after the war.
The war banner has navy blue background with three white circles.
