The municipality of Zemunik Donji (1,903 inhabitants in 2001, 1,466 in the village of Zemunik Donji) is located some 15 km due east of Zadar. Here is located the Zadar Airport, today, beside tourism, the main source of income in the municipality.

The symbols of Zemunik Donji were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka.
The flag (photo, 11 November 2007) is in proportions 1:2, dark blue with the coat of arms in the middle.
The golden fringe shown on the photo is only an ornamental feature.
