Ios is a Greek island in the Cyclades group in the Aegean Sea. The island is hilly with cliffs down to the sea on most sides. It is situated halfway between Naxos and Santorini. Ios measures about 18 kilometres in length and 10 kilometres in width, and covers an area of 109.024 square kilometres. Its population was 2,299 in the 2021 census. Ios is part of the Thira regional unit.
The flag of Ios appears to have no standardized design; the only thing that
matters is that all the elements are on the flag.

The flag is white with a dark blue bordure filled with red Greek key and on its center a mostly dark blue emblem consisting of a bust of Homer above an Ionic column and arched above it red Greek capitals reading ΟΛΒΙΣΤΗ ΝΗΣΩΝ ΠΟΝΤΩ (photo).
