Using a search engine, I found references to yacht clubs in Aldburgh,
Aldeburgh and Alderburry, named Aldburgh Yacht Club, Aldeburgh Yacht Club, and
Alderburgh Yacht Club. The Aldeburgh Yacht Club (Aldeburgh) appears to be the
most popular, though, and they even have a website:
http://www.aldeburghyc.org.uk. A
well known source giving their ensign and burgee would be the World Flag
Database, where on
http://www.flags.net/UNKG14.htm are given a defaced blue ensign and a blue
burgee, in both cases with a charge consisting of a ship with three masts, and a
lion depicted on the main sail, sailing on the waves, all yellow. Then again, at
the JW Plant website, the ensign for the Alderburgh Yacht Club
http://www.jwplant.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=68&products_id=654&osCsid=r277g0214gfll6ocpt65er1812
has more of a golden charge.
