The flag is displayed on a video at

(ship) and red lion rampant on a white square.

It is a blue horizontal flag with the
emblem of Aldeburgh
Town Council. The description of the Arms are as follows: "ARMS: Azure on Water
in base an Ancient Ship of three masts in full sail a Ladder affixed to the side
amidships proper the mainsail charged with a Lion rampant the fore and aft sails
and pennons each charged with a Cross Gules." It was granted on October 20,1561
as a seal (untinctured); Certified (with tinctures) as Arms by the King of Arms
5th February 1951.

"This ship in
the waves of the sea, all sayles bearinge, with a Lyon rampant in the mayne
sayle’, was assigned for use as ‘ye common seale for ever’ (1561)"
