Municipality of Villanueva de Tapia in the Province of Malaga, Andalucia, has its own symbols, but the date of their adoption is unknown.
- Coat of arms:
Description: Shield divided per pale and per fess. First, vert, three fesses formed by rows of gold houses. Second, or, two uprooted trees vert. Third, argent, six cauldrons sable arranged in two rows of three, a bordure gules with eight escutcheons argent charged with three fesses azure. Crest: a closed royal crown.
Meaning: The first quarter represents the first part of the toponym "villanueva". The second, its agriculture. The third is the coat of arms of Pedro de Tapia, a man of law and, among other positions, a member of the Council of Castile, who gave his name to the municipality by purchasing the land from Philip III in 1603.
