The institution was founded in 1862 in Odense, probably as a home for elders. It was succeeded by the nowadays H.C. Andersen og Frederik VII’s Stiftelse I Odense.
The image shows a splitflag with a white double cypher of the king in canton. The image is speculative, as Peterse does not mention the badge. The cypher is taken from the foundation in Jaegerspris.
