This burgee —and a few others— are clearly inspired in the Imperial war ensign. I assume that all those clubs were established at least before WW2.

The pennant was red cotised white, the white lines were overlapping one another forming a saltire on fly.

The club was based in Potsdam. The pennant was blue, charged with a black 4-point star with broad white fimbriation, exceeding the edges at three sides, i.e. top, bottom and hoist.
