Shield Gules, an angel Argent, nimbed Or, holding a sword Argent hilted Or in his right hand and a pair of sales Or in his left hand and standing on a dragon reguardant Vert, on the angel's breast is an inescutcheon Azure, parted by a bend Argent, charged with three annulats Azure.
Meaning:
The angel is St. Michael, recognisable by his attributes sword and scales. The inescutcheon displays the personal arms of Julius Echter of Mespelbrunn, Bishop of Würzburg . These arms also had been on a local flag from 1616. Since 1806 the inescutcheon was omitted. It was restored in 1952.

The arms were granted in 1581 by the Bishop of Würzburg and confirmed in 1952.
