Shield Gules, St. Mary dressed Azure, standing on a crescent recumbent Argent, holding a sceptre Or with fleur-de-lis on its top in her left hand, and Jesus Christ, holding on orb Or in his right hand, on her right arm. Both are surrounded by an aureole Or.
Meaning:
Aub gained city rights in 1404. But as the local rule was fragmented between different owners, the city didn't ascend. The oldest seal from the 15th century already displayed the current pattern, which basically never changed. In the 19th century the tinctures changed a little bit. St.Mary is the local patron saint.
