l Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above Azure an impending morion Argent; beneath Argent a bear passant Sable, armed tongued and collared Gules.
Meaning:
Berolzheim had been a market town since the middle of the 16th century and was acquired by Marshal Wolf of Pappenheim in 1573. The morion is a differentiation of the family arms of the Pappenheim kin, which displayed a vair. The original morion was not impending. The bear is a punning element, as the name of the town could be interpreted as "home of a bear". There are two versions of the arms. probably the older one in a cartouche fimbriated red at sinister with standing morion (see leftt image above) and with usual shield and impending morion (see right image above).
