The shield is five times divided per bend sinister into red and silver.
Meaning:
Schelklingen was first mentioned as a city in 1234. It had been a market town beneath the castle of the Counts of Berg-Schelklingen. 1343 the city became part of Hither Austria (Vorderösterreich) , finally in 1806 a part of Württemberg. The arms are those of the counts of Berg-Schelklingen. The pattern appears on seals since 1433 and prevailed since the 17th century.
Please note that the flag of Ehingen is very similar.
