The black shield is divided by a silver (= white) bend sinister wavy. Above right are three silver (= white) inescutcheons ordered 2:1. Below left is a fountain of the same colour.
Meaning:
Before 1952 the city had no proper arms. The wavy bend is symbolizing the Steinlach, a creek. The three inescutcheons show the so called three-princes- stone (Dreifürstenstein) in the town. The fountain is symbolizing the borough and spa of Bad Sebastiansweiler. The colours are taken from the arms of the Hohenzollern family, which ruled the area until 1415. In larger images of the arms the inescutcheons display three black attires for Württemberg (above right), the quarterly divided shield for Hohenzollern (above left) and a black eagle for Fürstenberg (below).
