It is a yellow-blue vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

It is an armourial flag [i.e. a banner-of-arms]. This is an unofficial flag. The ratio of the stripes is 17:23, similar to the ratio of the two fields in the coat of arms.

Shield parted per fess, above Or an attire sable in fess, beneath Azure a lower demi-wheel Or.
Meaning:
The upper part shows the attire of a deer from the arms of the Counts of Württemberg, who gradually acquired the area in the 14th century. The lower part shows the half wheel of the Lords of Hohenberg, an Austrian possession in the county. The colours in the lower half are taken from the arms of the cities of Trossingen and Tuttlingen.

The banner was approved on 4 Apr 2008, published in GABL 5/2008. The arms were approved on 28 February 1961 and confirmed on 12 October 1973.
