Description of current flag:
The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a red-white-red horizontal triband with ratio of stripes 1:3:1. The coat of arms is in the white stripe and shifted to the hoist. Local Hauptsatzung just mentions colours.

Description of coat of arms:
Shield parted per fess; above Azure two gable shelves Argent in saltire, crowned at top by swan heads; beneath Argent a trapezium shaped base Vert, issuant from base a spade Gules in pale, flanked by two oath hands (hands with two embowed fingers and three upright fingers, German: Schwurhand) Gules.
Meaning:
The shelves are referring to local farmhouses. Spade and base are symbolising impoldering. The hands are taken from the old arms of Jork.

Description of coat of arms:
Shield Gules three oath hands Argent ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
Jork had been seat of an own county, which had been dissolved in 1932. Furthermore it had been seat of the so called Three-Jurymen-Court, which had been the supreme court of the Altes Land district from 1566 to 1832. Chairman was the "Count" of Altes Land, a rich farmer elected by the local people, with 71 assessors.
