Kleinblittersdorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above Or an eaglet Gules; beneath Azure a pale Argent charged with a burning branch Gules and flanked by a double wolf trap Or at dexter and a wolf trap Or at sinister.
Meaning:
The eaglet is taken from the arms of the Dukes of Lothringen, to which the area belonged and appeared also in the municipal arms of Kleinblittersdorf proper in white tincture and of Auersmacher couped per pale wavy. The wolf traps also appeared in the municipal arms of Bliesransbach. The simple wolf trap is alluding to the Dukes of Pfalz-Zweibrücken, local rulers until 1755. The double trap, i.e. having two horizontal bars, is alluding to their successors the Counts of Nassau-Saarbrücken. The burning branch is a modification of the burning tree in the municipal arms of Sitterswald, alluding to the fact that this municipality was established by forest clearance in 1935. The area gained the status of an independent municipality in 1957. The white pale in blue also displays the arms of the Counts of Leyen, local rulers in Richlingen-Hanweiler for a long time.
