Shield parted per fess; above Azure semy of billets Or, a crowned demi-lion issuant Or, armed and tongued Or and holding a pit lamp Or with flame Gules by his right forepaw; beneath Or two blowpipes Sable in saltire.
Meaning:
The lion is a differentiation of the Nassau lion and is alluding to the Counts of Nassau-Saarbrücken, the former rulers. Pit lamp and blowpipes are representing mining and glass industries as important local business lines.
