Michelbach Coat of Arms

Shield Sable a lance Or in pale, superimposed by a fess Argent, charged with a dragon Sable, garnished Or and exhaling a flame Gules.
Meaning:
The oldest known seals of the village date from the middle of the 16th century. This and all later seals, displayed St. Michael, the local patron saint, killing the dragon. In the above proposal the traditional image was changed to show only the spear and the dragon, to distinguish the arms from many other arms showing the saint.
