Shield Argent, issuant from base a triplemount Vert, topped by castle Gules, having three embattled towers and a pennant on top of the central tower, in chief flanked by a cross patty Sable at dexter and a hooked bushel Gules.
Meaning:
Sinzheim had been part of the Bishopric of Straßburg. The oldest court seal was made in the 15th century, the existence of a lesser seal is proven since 1583. Both versions and all seals until the 17th century displayed a bushel (German: Sester, a cross and a winegrower's knife. The current pattern was introduced in 1903. The bushel in the new arms was already found on a boundary stone from 1738 as a local symbol. In the arms the cross was separated from the symbol and a castle was added, representing the old moated castle of Tiefenau.
