Shield Or, a lizard Vert in bend sinister, superimposing an abbot's crozier Gules in bend.
Meaning:
Ötisheim was first mentioned around 700. It was a dominion of the Lords of Enzberg and later on of the Maulbronn Monastery. The existence of the current arms had been proven first on a town seal with shield and an inscription "1515" above. The lizard (local language: Aitsen) is a canting element. The crozier is alluding to the rule of the Abbots of Maulbronn. A court seal from 1529 displayed the arms without crozier.
