Shield Argent; divided by a cross sable, charged with a stem Or with three oak leaves of the same, a 6-point star Gules in dexter chief and sinister base.
Meaning:
The town belonged to the Fulda Abbey from the 9th century until the 14th century, when the Lords of Erbach became the only rulers of the fortified city. The cross in the arms is the cross of the Bishopric of Fulda, whereas the stars are derived from the arms of the Counts of Erbach. The oak tree is a symbol for the historical court (German: Centgericht) that was held for many centuries in the town. In the 19th century König gained the title of a spa (German: Bad).
The arms were designed and approved in 1927
