It is a white-red vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is shifted towards the top.

Shield parted per fess, above Gules, beneath parted per pale of Sable and Argent.
Meaning:
Parsberg had been a possession of the namesake lords and had no proper seals. On occasion of the acquisition of flags for the citizens militia a coat of arms was approved, based on the arms of the Lords of Parsberg, which were known from seals and rolls of arms since the 15th century. The lords were first mentioned in 1165 and died out in 1730. The upper half on the approved arms was however displayed as blue, one of the Bavarian tinctures.

The first arms (with blue colour) were granted on 23 June 1813 by King Maximilian I of Bayern. Banner and current arms were approved on 20 October 1950 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
